I became an orthodontist because it is one of those unique fields that is both an art and science, requiring the skill of an engineer and the eyes and hands of an artist. Throughout my education I always excelled at math and science but I had an aptitude for art, having received a scholarship in art upon graduating from high school. Becoming an orthodontist has been the perfect fit--not only do the more complex orthodontic problems challenge me, but the end result is a beautiful smile! And the satisfaction I get working with patients, getting to know them, is something I never imagined.

Orthodontists undergo 2-3 additional years of postdoctoral residency training in order to learn the special skill required to manage the complexities of orthodontic treatment. I graduated from a 3-year program at the University of Michigan, one of the top-rated orthodontic programs in the country. I offer my patients the most advanced techniques available today and I do it in a fun and caring environment. Being a mother, I have a nurturing side, and I treat every child how I would treat my child. And if you’re an adult—well, I’ll treat you the way I would like to be treated!

I also use digital imaging technology to show patients what I see and keep them educated about their current orthodontic status and treatment possibilities. The use of digital x-rays reduces the amount of radiation exposure (up to 80%) and eliminates chemical waste, which provides for a “greener” environment and greater safety for you!
