Dr. Barbara Fodero

Barbara Fodero, DDS

Dr. Barbara Fodero has been building beautiful smiles for children and adults for over 16 years. Her extensive educational background, coupled with her artistic eye, has resulted in her providing excellent orthodontic results to her patients. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to earn her doctorate degree in dentistry, graduating number one in her class, at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fodero continued on at the University of Michigan to receive a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics. She received the Harry Sicher First Research Essay Award for her masters thesis, and is proud to have graduated from a school that has consistently been ranked as one of the top orthodontic programs in the country.

Dr. Fodero continues to attend numerous courses on the practice of orthodontics to bring her patients the latest techniques and treatments, which increases the efficiency and comfort of their treatment. My approach to orthodontics is the same as my approach to life- I follow the ‘Golden Rule’. I will treat you or your child the way I would want someone to treat me or my children.”

A transplant from Michigan, where she was born and raised, she has enjoyed living in New Jersey where she resides in Chatham with her two boys and her Boston terrier. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and gardening and hopes to pick up a paint brush and get back into art one day, when she has more free time. In the meantime, she is happy to have found a career that is both a science and an art, with the reward of giving her patients healthy and beautiful smiles.

“I love being an orthodontist. Self-confidence is such an important part of a person’s success. I have the unique opportunity to make a lifelong impact on the confidence of the family members in my practice. I am lucky to have such a devoted team who share my passion and love for our practice and patients. Our goal is to make every visit to our office a positive one and to give you a beautiful and healthy smile.”
